Our Window Of Opportunity

An August 1st Gallup poll reported that two- thirds of American say that members of Con- gress do not have a good understanding of the issues involved in healthcare reform.

 

Despite that, the House passed a monstrous bill out of committee and Speaker Nancy Pelosi has sent legislators home in August armed with a little card containing the key Democrat talking points they are to use to convince you buy their plan. 

 

Let’s show them we have a few thoughts on health care ourselves! 

 

It’s time for a little good old fashioned "we the people" moment for every legislator while they are home in their districts. We must take ad vantage of this opportunity to inject a healthy dose of truth and reality into their health care charade!  

 

Armed with facts about what is actually con tained in the over 1,000 page bill we have a great opportunity—at a very pivotal moment— to impact this most important debate. 

 

In fact, we believe it is so important that we are going to use this entire issue of our newsletter to arm you with everything you need to have meaningful dialog with you legislator in what ever forum is available to you, and to commu nicate intelligently with others. 

 

But this will only have impact if YOU are willing to speak. Here’s the plan: 

  •   Read this newsletter cover to cover and get the truth about the health care bill. 

  •   Call your representative and find out where he/she will be in the district during  the month of August. Then make it a priority to be there too! 

  • Use the opportunity to educate the audi ence by the questions you ask and the comments you make. (politely, of course) 

  •    Send an e-mail about health care to your legislator. [Google their name to get con nected  to their website] 

  •   Submit a letter to the editor of your local papers to educate others about what is at stake  in the health care debate. 

  •   Be a resource of information to others. Copy and distribute our newsletter 

  •   Check our website, blog and Twitter often for the very latest information and articles on  the health care debate.   

Please use this August window of opportunity, and most importantly, never ever give up!
