Preserve Marriage Washington Builds Grassroots Army
Preserve Marriage Washington has launched a comprehensive grassroots effort across Washington, mobilizing volunteers from Spokane to Seattle. Over seventy volunteer grassroots leaders are organizing thousands of individuals who are committed to preserving marriage as the union of one man and one woman by the time ballots are mailed on October 15.
“Our campaign staff is working diligently with grassroots leaders across the state to ensure that voters understand the importance of preserving marriage at the ballot box this November,” said Joseph Backholm, Chairman of Preserve Marriage Washington.
“Nearly a quarter of a million individuals have already proven with their signatures that they support preserving marriage as the union between one man and one woman. This is an all-time record response for a referendum petition. Many of those same individuals are working with our grassroots leaders to gain even wider support across the state by Election Day.
Thirty-two other states have already voted to preserve marriage. With the support of our grassroots army, Washington State will do the same.”
Preserve Marriage Washington has developed a strategic plan to organize support across the state for preserving marriage as the union between one man and one woman.
The campaign is equipping grassroots leaders with the tools they need to rally Washingtonians for the cause of marriage on November 6. Grassroots activities include hosting events, phone banking, and going door-to-door.
